Friday cat blogging!

~~~
Please consider adopting a black cat, dear people. Animal welfare organizations tell us that a disproportionate number of them have to be euthanized because people are superstitious and don't want them. That's just too sad for words.
Oh, and, yes, I do have one myself. He is my precious Leroy who has been featured right here on Fridays many times!
    Actually, consider adopting a black dog too if you are adopting a dog - they tend to get adopted less often because it's hard to read their facial expressions (or so I hear - people who work in shelters talk about "black dog syndrome".)
  3. Hello, Anonymous. Thanks for that information about black dogs. I did not know that. I thought the black cat problem was because of superstition in the US. (I understand black cats are actually considered lucky in the UK.) I never thought of not being able to read the animal's expressions as well. Maybe that just applies to dogs.
    At any rate, I'm glad to know this. Thanks again.
